Constellation Schools: Old Brooklyn Community Middle Falcons

Serving students and families since 2006, Constellation Schools: Old Brooklyn Community Middle provides a high-quality education that integrates the teaching of character education, values and self-discipline, incorporates technology (providing personal laptops in grades 5-8), stresses the importance of school attendance and addresses the emotional needs of each student. While our highly qualified teachers focus on specific educational needs, getting to know the whole child is a responsibility every employee takes seriously. It is a privilege to serve our families, and we welcome the opportunity to become partners in the education of your child!

Constellation Schools: Old Brooklyn Community Middle (OBCM) opened in 2006 and has grown to over 250 students in grades 5-8.

"Strong, quality schools make successful communities. Old Brooklyn residents are very fortunate to have a wonderful asset in Old Brooklyn Community School. Its high academic standards, unique character education program and amazing staff — who are involved not only educationally, but personally — combine to create an environment where our children flourish academically and grow into responsible, value-minded citizens. I'm extremely pleased with the relationship our family has developed with the OBCS staff and am confident their involvement in our children's growth, as well as in our community, will help ensure Old Brooklyn's success for years to come."

"You know the saying “it takes a village to raise a child”. Well it’s true. When you walk through the halls at Old Brooklyn, chances are most staff and volunteers who are there know your child by name. It’s no mistake….we care about them on many different levels, not just the academic ones. There are few schools that the principal and vice principal stand in the hall and greet your children EVERY morning! There’s nothing better than that personal touch."
- Bobbi Sue Benkalowycz

"My daughter, about to enter the 6th grade, has been at Old Brooklyn Community since kindergarten and we wouldn't even consider going somewhere else. The education she receives is top notch and the teachers have really established a love of learning within her. They do a great job of keeping things fun while providing meaningful lessons. We feel very respected and listened to at Old Brooklyn and have developed a great "family" of friends there. There are plenty of extracurricular activities provided to keep your student busy. We have been involved in student council, honors choir, and after school art (which still hangs on our walls!) There are a ton of fun activities planned throughout the year including a Hoe Down, Trunk or Treat, Hero Dance and movie nights at the school. Old Brooklyn Community is an excellent choice for any family."
